Refund policy

Effective Date: 1 February 2026

This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to all purchases made through the Mooimeisiesfontein Apparel online store and is aligned with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.


1. Cooling-Off Period (Online Orders)

In terms of Section 44 of the Consumer Protection Act, customers may return an item within 7 (seven) days of receiving the order.

To qualify:

  • The item must be unused, unworn, and unwashed

  • All original tags must still be attached

  • The item must be returned in its original packaging

  • The item must be in resellable condition

Customers are responsible for return courier costs under the cooling-off period.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable.


2. Defective, Incorrect or Damaged Items

If you receive:

  • A defective item

  • An incorrect item

  • A product damaged before delivery

You must notify us within 3 (three) days of receiving your order.

Please email us with:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photographs of the item

If the claim is valid, Mooimeisiesfontein Apparel will:

  • Repair the item, or

  • Replace the item, or

  • Refund the item

Return shipping costs will be covered by us if the defect or error is confirmed.


3. Size Exchanges

If you ordered the incorrect size:

  • Exchanges are allowed within 7 days of delivery

  • The item must meet all return condition requirements

Return courier costs are the customer’s responsibility.

We strongly recommend customers consult the sizing guide before purchasing.

Fit preference does not qualify as a defect.


4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return unless defective:

  • Worn clothing

  • Washed garments

  • Items without original tags

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Custom-made or printed-on-demand items

  • Items returned after 7 days

  • Items damaged through misuse

Items that do not meet hygiene and resale standards will be returned to the customer at their cost.


5. Refund Processing

Once the returned item has been received and inspected:

  • Refunds are processed within 7–10 working days

  • Refunds will be issued via the original payment method where possible

  • EFT refunds may be processed if required

  • Store credit may be offered at customer request

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless required by the Consumer Protection Act.


6. Order Cancellations

Orders may only be cancelled before dispatch.

Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled and must follow the return procedure.


7. Courier Delays

Delivery times are estimates only.

Courier delays are outside our control and do not qualify for refunds unless the parcel is officially declared lost.


8. Lost Parcels

If a parcel is confirmed lost in transit:

  • A replacement will be sent (if stock is available), or

  • A refund will be issued

An investigation period of up to 10 working days may apply.
